The TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF THE PHILIPPINES (T.I.P.) was founded by Engr. Demetrio A. Quirino Jr. and his wife, Dr. Teresita U. Quirino on February 8, 1962 as a private non-sectarian school. Its current President is the founders’ daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz.
 
T.I.P. is an engineering college that also offers programs in Information Technology Education, Business Education, Maritime Studies, and Teacher Education.
 
Twenty (20) of T.I.P.’s engineering and computing programs are accredited by the U.S.-based ABET (http://www.abet.org/) Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) and Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC), the international gold standard in engineering and computing accreditation. T.I.P.'s computing programs are also accredited by the Seoul Accord.
 
T.I.P.’s strength is anchored on its commitment to provide world-class, best-value education that is deeply rooted in excellence and service to the nation, while upholding its mission of empowering the Filipino youth towards national development through technological education.
 
It has two campuses – T.I.P. Manila and T.I.P. Quezon City.
