COLEGIO de DAGUPAN (formerly COMPUTRONIX COLLEGE) was founded in 1984 first as a computer- electronics training center offering diploma in short term courses in Computer Programming and Computer Technician. In 1987, it opened its School of Aeronautics and offered the two-year Aircraft Maintenance Technology and Private Flying course. The five- story Felisa Arzadon MemorialEdifice formerly known as the Main Building was built in 1989 and started offering Associate Courses in Computer Science, Secretarial, Electronics and Communication Engineering and BS Aircraft Technology. In 1991, it offered Bachelor degrees in Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mass Communication. On December 22, 1992, the school obtained college status registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and began offering Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

In 1993, with the continuing increase of enrollment, the college opened the Felisa Memorial Extension to provide more classrooms for the growing student population. It also offered BS Accountancy, BS Commerce major in Management Information Systems, AB major in Computer Teaching and BS Aeronautics Engineering.

The Science Centrum was inaugurated in 1994, it housed all laboratories and computer facilities of the college. It was recognized as a virtual landmark in Dagupan City. During this year the Liberal Arts, Commerce and Accountancy (LCA) building was also opened. Then in 1995, the Engineering building located behind the Science Centrum was built.

In 1996, located behind the Science Centrum, a new school campus came into being. Among the facilities added to the College were the Campus Quadrangle, a basketball/volleyball court, brickyard park, the College Printing Press and the Administration Building.

In recognition of the noble achievements of this institution, Colegio de Dagupan was hailed as the Champion in the Search for the Cleanest and Greenest Higher Educational Institution (City Level).

In 1998, the VPA- CS building was built. It houses spacious rooms complete with Monaco student chairs, electric fans, cinemascope chalkboards and tiled lobby areas. It also opened a new bigger library equipped with air conditioners, Internet Terminals, video library, CD-ROM equipped computers and other innovative facilities located at the Administration Building.

In 1999, with the exceptional cooperation shown by the Administration and students, the College was proclaimed First Place in the entire Region I for its Traffic Alleviation Program (Pila System). The competition participated in was The Search for the Most Outstanding School Project undertaken through the spirit of Volunteerism, and the judges included heads of the different government regional offices i.e., NEDA and CHED. In the same year, Ronal Bautista, a BSECE student was the National Grand Champion in RPN 9 Battle of the Brains Year 7, defeating the bets from UP- Diliman and PUP- Sta. Mesa.

In 2000, the new LCA Building was inaugurated. This building had an air-conditioned Chapel, a Clinic, a bigger Audio- Visual Room (AVR), HRM Laboratory, Offices and a number of classrooms.

In 2001, installed the elevator in the LCA Building. First Higher institution of its kind in the region.

In 2002, Colegio de Dagupan was given Level 1 accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) for its BS Accountancy and BS Electronics and Communications Engineering courses.

In 2003, accredited Level 1 by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities on Accreditation (PACUCOA) for Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Science in Commerce with Majors in Banking and Finance, Managerial Accounting and Management, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. It began offering Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and the course Caregiving.

In February 2004, Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) granted Level II accreditation to the College of Education for its Bachelor of Elementary and Secondary Education courses.

In November 2004, granted Level I Applicant status for its Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

In January 2005, the institution changed its name from Computronix College to COLEGIO DE DAGUPAN. Within the year, the new logo was created giving more meaning to its existence as a Higher Education Institution. The school hymn was slightly revised.

Colegio de Dagupan as named now, was granted Level II- Formal Accreditation Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) in Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Management, Managerial Accounting and Banking and Finance program.

In May of the same year, Level- II Formal Accredited Status was also awarded to the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program. The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program received its Level I Accredited status in November.

In June 2006, the revised Philosophy, Vision, Mission and Objectives was first recited during the Flag Ceremony of the school year.

In November 2006, Colegio de Dagupan was one of the Higher Educational Institutions in the region that underwent CHED's Institutional Quality Assurance Monitoring and Evaluation (IQUAME).

In February 2007, PACUCOA accrediting team visited the institution for the Level II Formal Re-accreditation Status in the following programs: Bachelor in Elementary Education, Bachelor in Secondary and Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Majors in Managerial Accounting, Banking and Finance and Management.

In March 2007, the College of Information and Computing Studies was awarded Center of Development in Information Technology, a testament of the school's commitment to providing quality instruction, advanced research, relevant outreach and extension programs. The college will enjoy the recognition until 2010.

On November 14, 2007, Colegio de Dagupan was classified by the Commission on Higher Education as Category A (T) pursuant to CMO No. 15 s 2005. The highest in the said category.

In 2008, Rizza A. Tamayo, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the College of Nursing placed number 6 in the June 2008 Nursing Licensure Examination. She is the only one in the north who gained a top spot in the exam.

In September 2008, Colegio de Dagupan's 243rd Department of Air Science and Tactics was awarded the "ROTC Unit of the Year" during the 24th AFP National Reservist Week. The award is given to the most outstanding DAST unit in the entire country.

C/Maj Edmark Aurelio, a BSIT student was chosen as the "ROTC Cadet of the Year 2008."

In November 2008, Colegio de Dagupan installed the Bridge Type Turnstile system in the entrances of its campus, providing a more secure environment for students.

The Colegio de Dagupan- Arzadon Gym began the construction on July 1, 2008. Completed on April 25, 2009, the CdD- Arzadon Gym served as the site for the championship games during the school's 25th anniversary celebration. The gym also served as the venue of the April 2009commencement exercises.

On its Silver Anniversary, Colegio de Dagupan holds its First Grand Alumni Homecoming at the Leisure Coast Resort on February 28, 2009.

In September 2009,Colegio de Dagupan posed a 100% passing rate in the Electrical Engineering Board Examination. Likewise, the CPA board examination rating of 50% is the highest in Pangasinan which national passing rate is 41 %.

On May 31, 2010, Colegio de Dagupan became a partner school of SMART Telecommunications in a program dubbed as SWEEP (Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program). This program aims to share SMART's technical expertise in the field of wireless technology by the way of providing technical training and hands-on experience on various telecommunications equipment to produce telco- ready graduates.

On July 14, 2010, Colegio de Dagupan achieved another milestone as it was recognized as a Center of Development for Teacher Education for exhibiting potential in providing quality instruction to extension services in its teacher education program.

On February 20, 2011, Professional Regulation Commission released the results of the December 2010 Nursing Licensure Examination where Ruby Ann Prado, an alumna, placed 10th among the topnotchers.

In June 4, 2011,Wilson Llloyd Estero was declared a national finalist by the National Screening Committee in the RFM Foundation's national search for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines.

In August 20, 2011, PRC released the results of the July 2011 Nursing Licensure Examination, where Colegio de Dagupan scored an 80% passing average for the first time takers.

In September 5, 2011, PACUCOA granted Level III formal accredited status to BS in Computer Science, a first in the Region I and in the entire Luzon area, and the second of only 2 institutions in the entire country. PACUCOA also granted Level II re-accredited status to BS Business Administration.

In October 17, 2011, PRC released the results of the CPA Board Examination given on October 8, 2011, where CdD registered a 70% passing rate for first time takers. Five of the 9 passers performed crediatably. They are the following: (1) Darlene G. Dizon - 90.57% (2) John Carlo E. Evangelista - 89.76% (3) John Roy L. Seco - 87.29% (4) Syndelle C. Manuel - 87% (5) Jona Arrol A. Varona - 85.43%.

In October 29, 2011, Marc Francis Cagaoan emerged as National Champion in the 3rd SGV Cup of the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants.

On November 16, 2011, PRC released the results of the Licensure Examination for Teachers administered on September 25, 2011, where CdD added another feather on its cap, as it produced one more board topnotcher (#9) in the person of Ellen May T. Lim.

In February 6, 2012, PACUCOA granted Levell II re- accredited status to Teacher Education (Elementary & Secondary) and BS in Information Technology.

On July 25, 2012, AUTONOMOUS STATUS was granted to Colegio de Dagupan for consistent exemplary performance in the provision of education, research and extension services.

On October 2012, PRC released the results of the CPA borad examination where CdD produced another board topnotcher in the person of Mark Francis Cagaoan who garnered 4th place.

In April 2013, two (2) more topnotchers were added to CdD's growing list as Neil Efren Villanueva bagged 4th place in the RME examination, and Marvin Columbino grabbed the 6th spot in the ECT examination.

Colegio de Dagupan maintains its students and faculty at Arellano Street, Dagupan City. These buildings are acclaimed as the cleanest, earthquake-proof and the most attractive ones in Pangasinan.
